Approach
As a clinical psychologist I work integratively and draw on a range of approaches including:
CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy)
DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy)
CFT (compassion focused therapy)
CAT (cognitive analytic therapy)
Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Systemic therapy
I believe therapeutic work should include anything that helps you as my client to feel more grounded, connected and able to cope. This might include narrative work to help you make sense of your life experiences, creative practices such as writing or poetry and time spent outside exercising in nature. When appropriate, I will also sign-post you to local groups or services who may be able to support you.
